About the job

This position is needed to support the InfoSec organization at Twilio in delivering value through strategic projects and programs.

In this role, the Staff, Technical Program Manager will manage projects and coach agile teams in delivering value through their programs.  This role will be a part of the InfoSec Project Management Office (PMO) which is responsible for creating and maintaining operational and process rigor via a scalable and well-structured project management approach.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Project manage multiple, simultaneous initiatives while working alongside members of the InfoSec team and other Twilio teams from project inception to completion. 
  • Support functional teams as a team coach to enable delivery of value across the InfoSec organization by enabling teams to work in a more mature, consistent manner.
  • Leverage the Project Management (including SAFe and Agile mindset) principles throughout the project lifecycle to drive the team towards best practices and value driven project delivery.
  • Ensure stakeholder satisfaction, including executive stakeholders, by providing status and monitoring of project progression and performance. 
  • Manage risk, dependencies, and issues during project execution and lead the team to remove impediments in a timely manner. 
  • Drive decision-making by communicating goals and objectives as well as making recommendations on risk responses; run inclusive, productive, and impartial meetings to ensure implementation or closure of actions.

Required:

  • 8+ years of project management experience across the InfoSec project lifecycle for process improvement, policy, data protection, network security, information security domains, and application software. 
  • Experience working with Agile projects and an understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple project initiatives to lead a team to execute and deliver on project level tasks. 
  • High-level understanding information security domains, with deeper working knowledge in one or more domains
  • Demonstrated experience with structured change management, communications, problem-solving, process re-engineering, and security risk & compliance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience applying these to stakeholder communication

Desired:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist, PMI-ACP, or other related project management certification
  • Information Security certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CompTIA Security+ or other related certifications
  • Familiarity with or understanding of frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, etc. 
  • Experience working with information security teams focused on securing cloud environments 
  • Experience working with agile teams in JIRA

Location

 This role will be remote and based in the United Kingdom.

Travel
