We are looking for a Technical Writer Intern to join our ELS team and help improve client-facing content for our Linux-based products. You will work on installation guides, FAQs, and use cases that support technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Python, and potentially Go and Kubernetes. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical mindset and a talent for turning complex ideas into clear, structured documentation.

Example: https://docs.tuxcare.com/els-for-runtimes-and-libraries/

You’ll be working directly with developers, marketing, and support teams — gathering technical input and transforming it into helpful, readable content for clients. The ideal candidate is curious, detail-oriented, not afraid to ask questions, and able to organize and communicate information clearly.

About the team:

We maintain and develop documentation that helps clients install, configure, and use TuxCare’s solutions effectively. You’ll start by reviewing and improving existing content while gradually contributing to new documentation and internal knowledge bases.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain installation/setup guides, usage instructions, FAQs, and technical use cases
  • Collaborate with developers, support, and marketing teams to gather information
  • Track product changes and update documentation accordingly
  • Review content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
  • Suggest improvements to documentation structure, navigation, and workflows
  • Help build internal knowledge bases and onboarding materials (potential)

Requirements
  • Excellent written English (C1 or higher)
  • Basic experience with Markdown, Git/GitHub
  • Familiarity with Linux systems
  • Comfortable working with dry or incomplete technical content and turning it into user-friendly documentation
  • Strong communication skills and persistence in gathering needed information
  • Technical background (e.g., currently studying or recently graduated in Computer Science or related field)
  • Understanding of client-facing documentation principles (clarity, structure, usability)

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with VuePress, Vite
  • Previous experience writing documentation or instructions (GitHub examples welcome)
  • Ability to work under deadlines and adapt quickly

Benefits
  • A focus on professional development.
  • Interesting and challenging projects.
  • Fully remote work with flexible working hours, which allows you to schedule your day and work from any location worldwide.
  • 10 days of national holidays per year, and unlimited sick leaves.
  • Compensation for private medical insurance.
  • Co-working and gym/sports reimbursement.
  • Budget for education.
  • The opportunity to receive a reward for the most innovative idea that the company can patent.
