About this role

Technical Product Manager – Core Platform (Identity and Auth) - Vice President

Do you want to shape the future of financial technology?

The Aladdin Platform team is responsible for engineering and operating the core service layer that runs Aladdin, the central nervous system powering the investment decisions of both BlackRock and its clients, and a $2bn technology business that has significant growth aspirations over the next five years. As the pace of growth of Aladdin accelerates, we are dedicated to the speed of product delivery, predictability in execution, and quality. The Platform team is responsible for a suite of foundational and modern products and services including IT Service Management, Observability, Orchestration, API Management, Cloud Infrastructure and CI/CD Pipelines. Our Product Management Office sits within Platform and supports our engineering community by delivering well-defined products with clear roadmaps and efficient and reliable delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

We are looking for a self-motivated, highly organized and creative Technical Product Manager to drive the transformation and delivery of Aladdin’s identity, authorization, and authentication family of products. In this role, you will coordinate a program of work to support a secure, consistent, and seamless identity management, authentication, and authorization experience for Aladdin’s client and software development communities.

Your core responsibilities will be to:

  • Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and success metrics for Aladdin’s customer Identity & Access Management Platform.
  • Partner closely with engineering to deliver scalable, flexible platform capabilities that support rapid and reliable feature delivery.
  • Build and nurture a community of internal users to inform prioritization and execution.
  • Translate platform strategy and user needs into actionable product features and outcomes.
  • Influence senior stakeholders to align on vision and manage dependencies across teams to ensure delivery alignment and risk mitigation.

Ideal Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of product or program management experience, leading initiatives from vision through delivery and adoption.
  • Prior relevant experience within a Software Engineering or ITSM role will also be considered.
  • Experience working with any identity and entitlement management platforms.
  • Experience with any industry-standard identity and authentication providers (e.g. Okta, Duo, Ping) as a product manager or software engineer.
  • Strong understanding of OAuth2 and similar authorization frameworks.
  • A deep empathy for developers and a strong technical understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, developer tooling, and platform infrastructure.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and delivering technology implementations at scale.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity across complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives and encourage cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical, with a data-driven approach to decision-making and performance measurement.
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful outcomes at speed.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (Computer Science or Engineering preferred).
