Overview: Boeing Defence UK (BDUK), a subsidiary of the Boeing Company, is seeking a Training Support Manager to join our team at the RAF P-8A Training Facility in RAF Lossiemouth. This position is fully budgeted within the P-8A Training Support Provider Contract awarded to BDUK in 2020. The Training Support Manager will be required to oversee and ensure effective operation of the Console Operations and Scheduling Planning teams to support both the RAF and BDUK P8 growth plans. Some travel will be required to support the Training Service Capability management meetings across other BDUK sites.
About BDUK: BDUK currently employs over 2,500 people in the UK and is responsible for delivering contracts to our UK defence customers, including comprehensive training services. In collaboration with the RAF, we provide P-8 training for pilots, rear crew, and maintenance technicians. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team of training experts as we expand our training capabilities in the Fixed Wing domain.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, develop, and motivate the BDUK P-8 team in delivering training services and business support activities. In particular, support and provide input to the BDUK P-8 Training Delivery Manager.
- Execute the Training Service in alignment with the delivery schedule, relevant processes, and policies.
- Lead the team in preventing and resolving complex problems.
- Implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.
- Ensure adequate resources are in place to meet contracted commitments.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
- Measure and meet customer satisfaction levels.
- Manage the deployment of operational resources to fulfil the training delivery plan.
- Monitor the performance of the training service against contracted performance factors.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for training service best practices.
- Support bid preparation and subsequent negotiations.
- Model and promote the Boeing Values and Behaviours
Basic Qualifications (Skills/ Experience):
- Experience in a training delivery role.
- Proven ability to manage high-performing teams in matrixed organisations.
- Sound knowledge of the UK MoD's acquisition processes, policies, procedures, and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong skills in data collection, organisation, analysis, and summarisation, with the ability to develop conclusions and recommendations from data sources.
Preferred Qualifications (Skills/Experience):
- A relevant business degree is preferred, or demonstrable experience in a similar management role within a military or commercial aviation environment.
- Familiarity with the P-8 aircraft and previous MPA rear crew experience is desirable.
The ability to obtain UK SC is essential.
