At Loftware, It’s all right there — the scale, the expertise, and the opportunity to grow your career in a business-critical industry.

Job Title: UX Designer

Possible locations: Šenčur, Slovenia (hybrid), Austria (remote), or Reading, United Kingdom (hybrid or remote).

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

The Role

We’re hiring a UX Designer with a focus on design systems. Someone who doesn’t just create components, but builds scalable systems, solves edge cases, aligns across teams, and ensures consistency at scale. You’ll take ownership of our evolving design system and work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to ensure that it becomes a strategic asset, not just a library of components.

This is not a support role. This is a strategic, visible, and accountable position where your design leadership will directly influence how multiple enterprise products look, behave, and scale together.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a UX designer who takes initiative and thrives in an environment where they can identify opportunities, drive outcomes, and shape their own path, rather than waiting to be assigned tasks.

UX designer who:

  • Sees the system, not just the individual pieces.
  • Knows how to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Can defend their design decisions with data, research, and clarity.
  • Is proactive, communicates well, and knows how to pull the right people into a conversation.
  • Wants to leave things better than they found them.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the design system: define guidelines, documentation, and governance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across levels. From engineers to senior leadership, to advocate for design system adoption, negotiate priorities, and align on trade-offs.
  • Build bridges between UX, development, and product to drive adoption and consistency.
  • Identify and address UX debt across the platform.
  • Lead audits, workshops, and processes that evolve the system with scale in mind.
  • Collaborate with global teams—designers, engineers, product managers, and learning experts.
  • Tackle complex design problems with a strategic and user-centric mindset.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI with a clear focus on design systems.
  • Proven ability to establish and evolve systems across multiple teams/products.
  • Mastery in Figma, tokens, variants, and documenting patterns.
  • Comfortable with tools like Zeroheight, Storybook, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility and how it applies to enterprise UX.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when opinions differ.
  • High ownership, structured thinking, and the confidence to push UX quality forward.

What We Value

  • Be Humble: We listen actively, stay open to feedback, and value every perspective, because great ideas can come from anywhere.
  • Own It: We take initiative, follow through, and hold ourselves accountable for the quality and impact of our work.
  • Be Curious: We ask questions, challenge assumptions, and continuously seek better ways to solve complex problems.
  • Make a Difference: We design with purpose—creating experiences that support real people and drive meaningful outcomes for our customers.

Why Join Us?

  • Working for the undisputed global leader in a business-critical industry offers unparalleled possibilities.
  • Our team is made up of the most talented, curious, and inspiring people in their fields, each bringing something unique to the table.
  • We use the power of the global team.
  • We set you up for success. We offer comprehensive training to all employees and place an emphasis on employee development.
