Garner's mission is to transform the healthcare economy, delivering high quality and affordable care for all. By helping employers restructure their healthcare benefit to provide clear incentives and data-driven insights, we direct employees to higher quality and lower cost healthcare providers. The result is that patients get better health outcomes while doctors are rewarded for practicing well, not performing more procedures. We are backed by top-tier venture capital firms, are growing rapidly and looking to expand our team.

We are currently seeking a highly accomplished and dynamic Vice President to oversee our East Region. As an integral member of our sales leadership team, you will have the responsibility of managing a team of Regional Directors and Account Executives. Your team will focus on sales within the 50 to 5,000 life segment, making significant contributions to our overall growth and success.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage a team of Regional Directors and Account Executives in the East Region, ensuring they meet and exceed their sales targets.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and initiatives to drive revenue growth within the specified segment.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align strategies and achieve company objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Oversee the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities within the region.
  • Monitor and analyze regional sales performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards, as well as industry regulations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners in the East Region.

Ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven track record in sales leadership and management, with experience in delivering against team quotas.
  • Extensive experience in sales within the 50 to 5,000 life segment.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales goals.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

What we look for at Garner:

  • Mission First: Our mission is to transform our healthcare system, delivering high quality and affordable care to all. Everything else is secondary.
  • Expect Extraordinary: Our mission is audacious, so we will only succeed by producing exceptional results. We continually push ourselves and each other to new heights and beyond our comfort zones.
  • Courageous Communication: Transparency and candor are imperative to realizing our potential as an organization and as individuals—even when uncomfortable. Many companies talk about these values. We live them.
  • Supportive community: We know that people do their best work and learn the most when they feel genuinely supported and cared for. It’s also more fun that way.

The target base salary range for this position is: $150,000 - $175,000 annually. This position is also commission eligible. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws.
