BlackRock
Vice President, Global Marketing & Digital Wealth, Head of UK Investment Trust Marketing
About this role
The Team:
The Global Marketing & Digital Wealth organization at BlackRock is a forward-looking, globally connected team at the center of the firm’s most high-impact priorities. We are architects of growth, working across functions and markets to unlock opportunities and accelerate outcomes for the business. In collaboration with both internal and external partners, we design the conditions for success—delivering next-generation campaigns, brand platforms, communications, training, and client experiences. Our work is powered by world-class centers of excellence spanning content strategy, research & analytics, and digital platforms & experiences.
The UK Marketing team is part of the EMEA Country Marketing group, within the larger EMEA Marketing organisation. We collaborate with many internal and external partners to deliver impactful campaigns, events, and critical initiatives that support BlackRock’s growth goals across the region.
Within the UK, the team is structured into three expert areas:
Institutional Marketing
Marketing for Investment Trusts
Wealth Marketing
Located in London, the team collaborates across product groups, client segments, and distribution channels to increase engagement, understanding, and adoption of BlackRock’s investment solutions.
The Investment Trusts Marketing team supports one of BlackRock’s most differentiated UK businesses. It crafts and delivers the go-to-market strategy for our UK-listed investment trusts through close work with portfolio managers, boards, sales, and key internal and external collaborators. The team plays a vital role in positioning BlackRock as a leading investment trust manager by building brand visibility, assisting capital raising, and enhancing investor understanding among retail, wealth, and institutional audiences.
Role and Impact:
The UK Head of Investment Trust Marketing plays a key role by offering strategic leadership across a diverse group of collaborators. They translate long-term business goals into targeted, high-impact marketing actions. Operating across owned, earned, and paid channels, the role ensures campaigns meet high standards and operational excellence. It delivers consistently, prioritises activities efficiently, and builds scalable content and programmes to strengthen engagement with retail, wealth, and institutional groups. The role involves close work with Product Strategists, investment teams, and external partners to convert complex investment stories into clear, engaging, and compliant marketing communications.
This role is essential within the UK Marketing team, offering clear leadership, continuity, and accountability for a highly visible and regulated business under significant external review. It provides an outstanding career chance to work across brand, product, distribution, and governance. The position includes interaction with senior collaborators and boards, creating a strong foundation for advancing into wider UK, EMEA, or global marketing leadership roles at BlackRock.
