Vice President, Product Manager – Private Markets Master Data Management

This role sits within Preqin, a part of BlackRock. Preqin plays a key role in how we are revolutionizing private markets data and technology for clients globally, complementing our existing Aladdin technology platform to deliver investment solutions for the whole portfolio.

The Private Markets Data Engineering team is a cross-functional team in Aladdin Data, responsible for innovating and revolutionizing the way in which we acquire, manage, and distribute Private Markets data using the latest technologies.

We are currently seeking a Vice President level Product Manager to join the team to drive the delivery of Master Data Management for Private Markets. Through this role you will lead in the creation and delivery of technologies that will allow Aladdin to create a universal registry of all private markets, further driving consistency, data quality and transparency across all private markets workflows and activities. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Deliver a solution for Master Data Management for Private Markets data in Aladdin 

• Serve as subject matter expert and partner with business to translate problems into detailed requirements 

• Identify the largest opportunities for the team, and develop a roadmap to achieve those opportunities 

• Work closely with leadership across Aladdin to define our strategic goals and identify how best to deliver on them 

• Build relationships with internal and external customers and leverage this network for continuous discovery and product evolution 

• Talk to stakeholders to better understand their workflows, and create solutions that help them achieve their goals 

• Identify and track the right metrics for your area and use those metrics to make our products better 

• Work closely and collaboratively with a team of engineers, designers, business SMEs, and other Product Managers to achieve our goals – you will get everyone aligned around a problem, work together on how to solve it, and demonstrate great execution to turn ideas into products. 

• Build iteratively and share feedback with stakeholders continuously as you build and evolve the product 

• Mentor Product Managers in the wider Private Markets Data Engineering team 

Requirements:  

• Strong background in evolving a technology product vision, consulting on the product, and leading requirements gathering, design, and implementation 

• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic team 

• Self-motivated with the capacity to navigate ambiguity and take initiative in uncertain situations 

• Relentless focus on precision and accuracy in all aspects of work 

• Excellent communication skills 

• Demonstrated ability to analyze datasets and derive meaningful insights for product development 

• Experience with working with developers
