About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Workday Architect to lead and evolve our Workday platform, with a particular focus on Talent Acquisition, Security, and Global Release Management. This role requires a forward-thinking systems expert who can translate business goals into scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions. As the Workday Architect, you will lead a dedicated team of six employees spanning HRIS, systems integration, and configuration. Together, your team will ensure our Workday architecture supports organizational growth, compliance, and a best-in-class user experience.

 

Key Responsibilities
 

Talent Acquisition Technology Strategy

  • Drive the end-to-end Workday technology strategy for Talent Acquisition.
  • Optimize and integrate TA systems (e.g., ATS, CRMs, background check, and assessment tools) for a seamless experience.
  • Partner with TA leadership to advise on system capabilities, technology innovation, and long-term roadmap planning.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding of all TA-related vendors and platforms.
  • Lead improvements in TA user experience through automation and system integration.
  • Align Workday configuration and TA system functionality with evolving hiring strategies.

Workday Security Leadership

  • Design, implement, and maintain a scalable, compliant Workday security model.
  • Serve as the escalation point for access and data risk issues, resolving with urgency and discretion.
  • Partner with compliance and data privacy teams to enforce proactive access governance policies and practices.

Global Release & Change Management

  • Serve as the Global Release Manager, leading sprint planning and delivery within an agile SDLC framework.
  • Ensure consistency in release governance and change control processes.
  • Align system updates and enhancements with business priorities, HR strategy, and global regulatory needs.
  • Facilitate collaboration across HR stakeholders to plan and prioritize Workday roadmap items.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team of 6 HR Technology professionals.
  • Set goals, assign responsibilities, and foster professional growth within the team.
  • Create an inclusive, high-performing culture that values collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

  • 8+ years of Workday HCM experience, with demonstrated expertise in Talent Acquisition, Security, and Release Management.
  • Proven track record of delivering technology-led business results by partnering with TA and HR leadership.
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams, ideally within a global HR technology environment.
  • Strong understanding of Workday security frameworks, including access governance and compliance alignment across regions.
  • Skilled in agile project management, sprint planning, and driving system updates that support evolving business goals.
  • Comfortable integrating third-party TA platforms into the Workday ecosystem to create a seamless experience.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to connect systems architecture to broader business and talent strategies.
  • Detail-oriented and accountable, with a proactive mindset for managing risk and resolving escalations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative and adaptable leadership style.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement in HR systems and user experience.
