About the role:
The VP of Product Management will be responsible for leading JumpCloud’s globally distributed product management team and overseeing the strategic direction, development, and lifecycle of our different products and platform services. This role requires a leader with deep industry knowledge, a strong technical background, and a proven track record of building, scaling and operating a globally distributed team that will work in a highly cross-functional model with their engineering, product marketing and other business partners. . The ideal candidate will be able to navigate and manage a highly diverse set of teams and technology that are intentionally woven into an advanced SaaS-based platform for our large customer base. The candidate must have extensive experience in these management models and have the ability to adapt and apply their leadership skills to grow and develop talent to drive strong operational rigor to execute on the customer outcomes required.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- In collaboration with the SVP of Product and CTO, develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's vision and goals.
- Identify market opportunities, define product roadmaps, and prioritize initiatives based on business impact and customer needs.
- Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring that product development is guided by user feedback and market trends.
Operational and Process Rigor:
- Development and refinement and standardization of product management processes (Product Ops) and overall curation and execution of the Global Priority List (GPL)
- Driving and facilitating cross-functional strategic alignment on strategic initiatives and inter-dependent release management
- Establishing and enforcing data-driven decision-making across teams to drive prioritization and engineering workflow
Product Development:
- Have the ability to think about the overall JC product, and develop a roadmap on how we might grow the platform and the business.
- Implement best practices in agile development, ensuring efficient and high-quality product releases.
Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product management team.
- Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development for team members.
- Promote a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Market and Competitive Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Use insights to inform product strategy and positioning.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and work closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful product launches.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related matters, both internally and externally.
- Present product plans, progress, and performance metrics to the executive team.
- Build strong relationships with key customers, partners, and industry influencers.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.General understanding of security and IT admin customer personas.
- Strong execution - Proven track record of successfully managing and launching complex software products.
- Global leadership - Proven experience scaling and managing a globally distributed product management teamsStrong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) technologies, trends, and market dynamics.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools.
- Strong customer focus and a passion for creating great user experiences.

Where you’ll be working/Location:
JumpCloud is committed to being Remote First, meaning that you are able to work remotely within the country noted in the Job Description.
This role is remote in the country of India. You must be located in and authorized to work in India to be considered for this role.
