VP Product – Point of Sale

Location: UK / Norwich

Reports to: SVP Product

Epos Now is looking for a VP of Product to lead its core Point of Sale product organisation across Hospitality, Retail and Service.

Epos Now is a global commerce platform used across 100,000 SMB merchant locations in over 10 markets, providing POS software and hardware, integrated payments and increasingly AI-powered products.

The opportunity

POS sits at the heart of the Epos Now platform. It’s the product merchants interact with every day and the foundation for the company's payments, financial services and AI strategy.

You'll take end-to-end ownership of the vision, strategy and execution of the POS portfolio, leading a team of Product Managers and partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Sales and GTM leadership.

This isn't a role focused on maintaining an established POS product. You'll be expected to evolve the core platform while using it to drive payments attachment, new financial products and AI-powered experiences.

What you'll own

  • Set and execute the overall POS product strategy across Hospitality, Retail and Service.
  • Lead, coach and develop a multi-team Product organisation.
  • Own the roadmap and balance the needs of different verticals without fragmenting the core platform.
  • Drive commercial outcomes including merchant growth, product adoption, payments attachment and revenue.
  • Champion the introduction of AI-native capabilities into the POS experience.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Design on technical and product trade-offs.
  • Use customer, market and product data to drive prioritisation.
  • Build strong feedback loops with SMB merchants.
  • Present product strategy, roadmaps and major investment decisions at executive and board level.

The role carries clear commercial and delivery accountability, including revenue growth, merchant targets, AI feature deployment and roadmap execution.

What we're looking for

You'll likely have 6-8+ years in Product, including at least 4 years leading Product Managers across multiple teams or verticals.

We're particularly interested in people with:

  • Direct experience in POS, vertical SaaS, commerce platforms or payments.
  • Ownership of a product P&L or clear revenue/retention metrics.
  • Experience shipping and scaling a core platform that drives adjacent revenue such as payments, add-ons or financial services.
  • Experience operating products across multiple countries or markets.
  • Strong people leadership and the ability to build a high-performing PM team.
  • Enough technical depth to have credible trade-off conversations with senior Engineering and Design leaders.
  • Strong data literacy and executive-level communication skills.

Particularly valuable: hospitality or retail technology, embedded payments/fintech, SMB products, AI-powered product development, payments infrastructure, or experience in a high-growth/PE-backed environment.

Why this role?

This is a chance to own the strategic core of a global commerce platform, rather than one isolated product area.

You'll have direct influence over how Epos Now evolves its POS proposition, grows payments and financial services revenue, and embeds AI into the everyday workflows of tens of thousands of merchants.
