Within the Aladdin Product Engineering group, Blackrock’s Tactical Solutions team provides enterprise-level, rapid application development (RAD) solutions that adhere to industry recognised best practices. Team members work in conjunction with business units throughout the firm to develop solutions that:
Meet business requirements that fall outside of core system functionality.
Enable product innovation and speed-to-market.
Prototype new/emerging business processes.

In the last few years, the team has undergone a significant evolution in its technology stack to focus on C#, ASP.Net and React. To meet the increased demands on the team, there is the opportunity for a senior engineer to join continue driving the successful delivery of high-profile solutions and the technology evolution.
Role description: C#/React Full-Stack Senior Engineer
This role will provide the opportunity to work on some of the most immediate challenges facing the firm in a fast-paced environment. You will be able to own all aspects of development across the full life cycle, from inception and requirements gathering to delivery. We work with modern tooling (.Net 10 / React 18) and have the freedom to select the best tools and innovate to solve any problem. There will be the opportunity to lead smaller squads of developers where there is a need to accelerate development, giving you experience of people management.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage high-profile, critical projects and ensure successful delivery by working closely with business stakeholders.
Work as technical lead through the whole SDLC, understanding and refining systems requirements
Design and write code, testing and QA, and clearly documenting the development process.
Understand and support existing applications and resolve operational issues.
Improve current processes through technical leadership including bringing new technologies onboard such as cloud native and AI integration.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related software engineering background
5+ years of experience in software development using C#, NET Core, React, Typescript and related technologies
Experience of database management systems such as SQL Server / Sybase / Postgres
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; proactive approach with ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
Curiosity about the functional part of the product, base knowledge about the Finance industry will be highly appreciated.
Strong communication skills and proven ability to lead medium sized projects with a squad of developers

Our hybrid work model
