THE ROLE
This role is responsible for shaping the product roadmap for Data Center Infrastructure Solutions, including power distribution, liquid cooling, and air cooling systems, by gathering and analysing Voice of Customer data to ensure offerings align with market demands. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning engineering, marketing, sales, and services to define product requirements, identify value propositions, and bring new solutions to market. Key activities include competitor analysis, market intelligence consolidation, patent reviews, product documentation, and supporting customer-facing technical consultations. Acting as the Subject Matter Expert for whitespace infrastructure solutions, the role bridges the gap between customer needs and technical delivery for both internal stakeholders and external audiences. 
POSITION SUMMARY

  • Contributes to defining Data center Infrastructure Solutions products roadmap by consolidating Voice of Customer data to define market solutions primarily oriented, but not limited, to data center industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure offering meets market needs.
  • Defines product / solution requirements.
  • Identifies value proposition.
  • Subject Matter Expert for Datacenter whitespace Infrastructure Solutions for executive, marketing, and sales teams.
  • Whitespace Infrastructure Solutions are complex products or solutions mostly related to manufactured units which consist of power distribution, liquid and air cooling.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze Voice of Customer and provide intelligent and effective ideas, proposals or solutions
  • Analyze cost and propose improvements
  • Analyze competitor products, documenting strengths, and deficiencies in core functionality.
  • Define, develop, and administer customers facing product evaluation programs.
  • Engage with Services team to define and implement Power Solutions service offering.
  • Gather information and analyze new trends and technology
  • Gather and consolidate market intelligence by interfacing with Sales team and Solution Architects.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement new technology in Infrastructure Solutions offering.
  • Perform and maintain patent reviews for new offerings. Document data and provide details while interfacing with legal team.
  • Create and maintain Product Documentation including user brochures, presentations, manuals, and technical documentation. Provide support to regionalize documents as needed.
  • Work with Product Marketing team on creation of White Papers, Application Notes, Case Studies, and Articles, Videos.
  • Work with Product Marketing team on product launch preparation and product launch.
  • Support Solution architects and Application engineers with solution proposals and technical studies.
  • Provide on-site critical customer consultations when required.
  • Interface with other Vertiv products and engineering teams to coordinate integration with other hardware and/or software solutions.
  • Provide training.

QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor’s or higher Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in Data center design, build, commissioning or maintenance
  • Technical expertise to translate customer needs/pain points to solutions
  • Strong written/oral communication, especially in communicating customer needs and value propositions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications
  • Informative knowledge about CAD, BIM and CFD tools. 
  • Research and analytical skills
  • Propensity for innovation
  • Effectively communicates technical information and complex ideas to technically diverse audiences.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • No special requirements. This is mostly office job with some traveling at meetings, conferences and other events. From time-to-time factory visit is required.
