Associate Client Accountant Junior Accountant
Madrid, Spain
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Hybrid working model (3 days in the office and 2 days remote)
Language: Fluent in Spanish and English
As an Associate Client Accountant (Junior Accountant), you will manage the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of international clients within a multi-client environment. Your responsibilities will include daily bookkeeping updates, invoicing, bank reconciliations, reporting, and supporting the preparation of Spanish taxes (including SII) and statutory obligations such as Annual Accounts.
You will work closely with senior colleagues, developing the skills and experience needed to deliver excellent client service. This role offers strong career development opportunities within CSC in areas such as Client Accounting, Corporate/Real Estate Services, and accounting and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities

• Post accounting entries and maintain accounting records and supporting documentation for multiple client entities
• Prepare and issue invoices and support periodic closing and reporting activities
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash position preparation, payments, and cash flow reporting
• Support the preparation and submission of Spanish taxes, including SII, and prepare files/supporting documentation for the Spanish Tax Agency
• Assist with the preparation of statutory annual accounts and related documentation under supervision
• Prepare financial reports for clients (balance sheet and profit and loss) and respond to routine client queries
• Prepare regulatory reports for third parties when required and ensure records are audit-ready
• Support audits by gathering and delivering requested documentation within deadlines

Requirements (Essential)

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting, client accounting, or a multi-client/shared services environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
• Experience or exposure to the full accounting cycle (invoicing, bank reconciliations, and basic reporting)
• Fluent or native Spanish and professional English (B2-C1) to communicate with international clients and teams
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
• Proactive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and interest in working in a multicultural environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting tax filings and/or SII processes
• Knowledge of Spanish GAAP and the annual accounts preparation process
• Experience with accounting systems/ERP and intermediate Excel skills
• Experience dealing with clients in a professional services environment
