The Role:

We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst (Marketing/Commercial) to join our team and provide data-driven insights across player acquisition, retention, and VIP performance. This role is key to helping us understand marketing ROI, optimize promotional spend, and support smarter decision-making across all digital and affiliate channels. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with data, able to build dashboards and segmentation frameworks, and comfortable working closely with Acquisition, Retention, and Commercial stakeholders to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Goals

  • Generate insights & support stakeholder decision-making across Acquisition, Retention, VIP, and Commercial teams
  • Build reporting setup, automation, and documentation for marketing performance tracking
  • Manage campaign analytics, segmentation, and cost optimization across the player lifecycle

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Acquisition, Retention & Player Lifecycle Analytics

  • Set up and maintain key player acquisition and retention metrics, ensuring robust tracking systems from first touchpoint through the full player lifecycle
  • Build detailed cohort analysis frameworks to track player performance based on acquisition source, retention behavior, and player value
  • Support Affiliate and Digital Marketing channels (paid search, paid social, display/programmatic, in-app, SEO) with data-driven insights into traffic quality, conversion, and ROI
  • Build and maintain player segments based on behavioural patterns, value metrics, and lifecycle stages to enable targeted marketing strategies across channels

Reporting & Insights

  • Maintain and update the data dictionary and reporting documentation for marketing, segmentation, and campaign performance
  • Create and manage real-time visual dashboards that consolidate KPIs across Acquisition, CRM, VIP, and Commercial functions
  • Generate actionable insights on player behavior and marketing performance, helping teams refine strategy, optimize spend, and improve efficiency
  • Provide channel-specific analysis (Affiliate, Paid Media, CRM, VIP) to highlight opportunities and risks

Campaign, Cost & Commercial Support

  • Partner with Marketing teams to evaluate campaign effectiveness, ROI, and incremental impact across Acquisition and Retention activities
  • Monitor and analyse bonus spend and campaign costs, providing recommendations for efficient promotional investment
  • Support the VIP team with insights into player performance, activity trends, and retention/value optimization
  • Work closely with the management team to provide data-driven forecasts and performance monitoring.

What Success Looks Like

  • Acquisition and Retention teams use shared, consistent reporting frameworks to track performance and make decisions quickly
  • Marketing spend across CRM, Affiliate, Digital, VIP, and Bonus budgets is measured and optimized through clear, actionable insights
  • Stakeholders have real-time visibility on player lifecycle performance, campaign ROI, and commercial impact
  • The business has a scalable BI framework that balances growth (Acquisition) and profitability (Retention & VIP)

 Requirements:

  • Technical Skills & Experience
    • Proven experience as a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or Marketing Analyst, ideally within online gaming
    • Experience with BI & visualization tools ideally Tableau
    • Solid understanding of digital marketing performance metrics (CPA, ROI, LTV, churn, ROAS, conversion funnels, attribution models)
    • Knowledge of affiliate marketing analytics, campaign tracking, and partner performance measurement
    • Familiarity with player lifecycle metrics (acquisition, retention, churn, reactivation, VIP value)
    • Experience in bonus cost tracking and optimization is a plus

  • Analytical & Business Skills
    • Strong ability to translate data into actionable insights that improve campaign efficiency and ROI
    • Ability to build cohort analyses and segmentation frameworks to support marketing strategies
    • Comfortable managing both growth KPIs (acquisition, conversion, channel performance) and profitability KPIs (retention, player value, VIP performance)
    • Commercial mindset with an understanding of marketing budgets, cost optimization, and forecasting
  • Soft Skills
    • Strong communication skills - able to present complex data clearly to marketing and commercial stakeholders
    • Detail-oriented but able to keep the bigger business picture in mind
    • Proactive problem-solver who can work independently and manage multiple priorities
    • Collaborative and adaptable - comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
