Justerini & Brooks was established in 1749 and is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading fine wine and spirits merchants, known for the quality of its portfolio and service. It has held a Royal Warrant for supplying wine and spirits to each British monarch since 1761. The company has sales offices in London, Edinburgh and Hong Kong and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diageo PLC, the world’s leading premium drinks business. Justerini & Brooks (J&B) has dedicated Sales divisions that focus on servicing Private Clients, On-Trade, the Off-Trade including Luxury Retail and a dedicated website.

J&B maintains an independent ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365) and is responsible for it’s own product and solutions across data & reporting including maintaining COGS & pricing, consumer insight and inputs into the J&B website. The Analyst role is a crucial role within the Data & Systems team leading on maintaining a robust data management strategy, efficient and effective reporting landscape and end user training agenda. J&B is currently preparing to implement a new ERP system in 2026 – 2027 and a focus area will be ensuring a robust data structure review and data archiving strategy is in place along with becoming a superuser on the new system and technologies ahead of launch to support planning for the transition and implementation of new processes and systems.

About the role

Reporting to the Data & Systems Manager, within the J&B finance team, this role will be the key business analyst for the J&B team driving value creation and excellent holistic business performance through maintaining a robust data management strategy, efficient & effective reporting landscape and pro-actively seeing out simplification and optimisation across the various J&B channels. The role will lead on providing solutions to complex data & reporting requests utilising systems such as PowerBI, Jet reports and Excel - these requests can span inventory, consumer and financial reports along with ad hoc data requests.

Top accountabilities:
  • Supports on ensuring appropriate and fit for purpose system architecture landscape is in place and in line with strategic objectives (leads on selected solutions & problem-solving system and process issues)
  • Supports the Data & Systems Manager on process improvement and change request initiatives, involving new and existing systems, this would involve project management and ensuring robust product delivery methodology (scope, testing, training, delivered within agreed timelines)
  • Supports the implementation and integration of upcoming new ERP and surrounding eco system modules and functionalities, supports on user testing, data migration and providing initial user support
  • Leads the capability and training roadmap across the business, maintaining appropriate asset retention policy, help cards & training guides and responsible for maintaining the process documentation (ARIS)
  • Develops and lead on business complex data & reporting requirements such as Power BI, Jet Reports and ad hoc complex data requests, ensuring learnings documented & shared and simplification of data & information requirements where possible
  • Provides cover for Data and Systems Executive when on leave
What we are looking for:
  • Data proficiency – strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Intermediate / advances excel, BI tools) is highly desirable
  • Prioritisation and adaptability – ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and to manage multiple priorities & projects effectively
  • Problem-solving – a pro-active approach to identifying and solving problems
  • Transformation acumen – demonstrated experience in supporting or participating in business transformation projects
  • ERP system knowledge – prior experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Deep personal accountability for great performance
  • Existing capability to build genuine relationships built on mutual trust & respect
