Our primary responsibility is to support the creation, maintenance, and governance of client portfolios and BlackRock products, as well as the management of client contracts and other legal documents globally. We play an active and transparent role, working closely with Onboarding and critical internal stakeholders to maintain high levels of portfolio data integrity and ensure compliance with regulatory reporting obligations.

We are seeking a hardworking, results-oriented learner with strong work ethics who can adapt to a fast-paced group in a wide-ranging and consistently evolving environment. As a Portfolio Data Analyst, you will understand the importance of quality data and strive to maintain its integrity in our systems. You will have an opportunity to apply your knowledge of contractual and legal documents, demonstrate your ability to analyse information, ask questions, and draw conclusions.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensure accurate reflection and maintenance of client requirements from contract or legal documents in the Aladdin data system.
  • Manage the process of operational portfolio set-ups of all new client & BLK products.
  • Develop and execute complex SQL queries to extract and interrogate data
  • Ensure portfolio records are assigned to the correct client contract record
  • Maintain and monitor process & project documentation via SharePoint
  • Build positive relationships across the organization by actively listening to internal partners.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to lower error risk and increase efficiency.
  • Assist in supporting projects and resolving data exceptions.
  • Partner with colleagues to accurately create, maintain, and terminate BlackRock products and client mandates in Aladdin.

Experience, Skills, & Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in investment management business, highly desirable.
  • Strong in controlling risk mitigation with ability to know when to advance issues.
  • Organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills.
  • Good communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Experience with business applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SQL.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Basic Python skills are considered advantageous for this role.
  • Familiarity with legal documents and ability to understand basic legal document structure and terms.
  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to contribute beyond the scope of one's role to achieve team and firm objectives.
