Job Description

Step into a key role in managing the commercial performance of a growing renewable energy portfolio.  At EDF Power Solutions, your analytical expertise will help ensure accurate revenue flows and support our mission to power Britain’s journey to net zero.

The Opportunity

As a Commercial Operations Analyst, you’ll play a central role in managing the commercial performance of a diverse portfolio of wind, solar and battery storage assets. You’ll validate revenue streams, support contractual obligations, and ensure the accuracy of payments that underpin millions of pounds of income.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, this is a flexible role where you can work remotely with some travel for meetings in #Edinburgh, #Durham and #London. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external partners, gaining exposure across a wide range of commercial and operational activities.

You’ll build and maintain models, validate settlement data, and contribute to regulatory compliance. This is a great opportunity to develop your commercial and analytical skills while working on complex, high-value renewable energy operations that directly support our net zero ambitions.

Location: Hybrid working with visits to Edinburgh or Durham offices.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Commercial Operations Analyst who is analytical, commercially minded, and confident working with complex data and financial models. You’ll be proactive, collaborative, and able to influence stakeholders across the business. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…

  • A degree-level qualification or recognised equivalent
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with proven experience building and maintaining financial or operational models
  • Experience within UK Energy Market & Regulation and its relation to Power Purchase Agreements (desirable).
  • Good understanding of contracts or legal skillset to interpret contractual obligations.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete complex calculations across multiple income streams
  • Proven experience working with renewable energy compliance, including adherence to regulations and standards
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience influencing stakeholders
  • Experience building relationships with internal and external parties
  • Ability to work effectively across teams with strong influencing capability
  • A proactive approach to digitalisation and continuous improvement

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Validating settlement statements and ensuring accurate revenue flows across renewable assets
  • Managing Power Purchase Agreement obligations and ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Supporting regulatory submissions and compliance, including ROC and REGO reporting
  • Building and maintaining models to support commercial operations and decision-making
  • Liaising with third parties to resolve metering and data issues across the portfolio
