At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.  

This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

At GoDaddy, we are seeking a Director and Senior Counsel - Compliance who is a highly motivated and hardworking teammate to take initiative and ownership of key projects related to optimizing and managing a best-in-class and scalable global regulatory excellence program. This position will support our Compliance/Regulatory Excellence function, with a primary focus on implementation, communication, optimization, and management of a best-in-class global Compliance program, including development and delivery of the following 1) written policies, procedures, and guidelines; 2) global ethics and compliance training; 3) strategy and plan for global compliance assessment and monitoring; 4) processes to track and report compliance and effectiveness of the program; and 5) processes to ensure continuous improvement of GoDaddy’s Compliance program.

What you'll get to do...

  • Promote a culture of compliance and ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices are adhered to
  • Manage or support global Compliance matters worldwide, including, e.g. OFAC/Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Anti-Money Laundering, Conflicts of Interest, and Anti-Modern Slavery matters.
  • Create, implement and regularly review and update policies, procedures, and guidelines designed to meet the compliance requirements of the Company
  • Oversee management of Sanctions Program, including OFAC/Sanctions screening, remediating alerts, and requests for information
  • Monitor and advise on evolving global regulations such as AML, anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions compliance, data privacy, ESG, AI, and other compliance laws
  • Support the investigation of reports sent to GoDaddy’s ethics helpline and manage responses in the Company’s Compliance software platform
  • Manage regulatory compliance training, including Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Anti-Money Laundering, Fraud Spotting and Reporting, Code of Conduct, Conflicts of Interest, and Prevention of Facilitation of Tax Evasion
  • In collaboration with business leaders, develop and implement written policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Develop and implement effective monitoring of compliance, in partnership with Internal Audit and Business Leaders
  • Assist in the development of innovative ways to measure ethics and compliance program activity, including relevant metrics to measure compliance program effectiveness and report out on progress

Your experience should include...

  • Juris Doctor Degree
  • Currently a licensed attorney, in good standing, with at least one state bar
  • Minimum 7 years of experience focused on regulatory compliance
  • Experience with a programmatic approach to regulatory compliance, including the creation and implementation of policies, procedures, and training to prevent, detect and remediate violations of law
  • Experience with compliance related to Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Anti-Money Laundering, and Conflicts of Interest
  • Experience in OFAC/Sanctions screening, and remediating alerts
