The Role

Legend is hiring an FP&A Manager to join our Commercial Finance team and become a key Finance Business Partner to our iGaming business.

This is an individual contributor role with significant ownership and influence. Working closely with our Principal FP&A Lead and partnering directly with the Head of iGaming and his leadership team, you’ll help shape commercial decisions across a complex portfolio of products, markets and investments.

We’re looking for someone who can go beyond reporting performance. You’ll get underneath the numbers, understand what is driving them and use that insight to challenge thinking, identify opportunities and recommend where we should act, invest or change direction.

You’ll bring together financial and operational data to develop a clear point of view on business performance. Whether assessing an investment opportunity, understanding movements in EBITDA, challenging a forecast or evaluating performance across products and markets, we’ll expect you to turn your analysis into recommendations that help the business make better decisions.

You’ll also need strong FP&A fundamentals. You’ll be comfortable owning financial models, forecasts, budgets and scenario analysis and getting into the detail when required. The difference at this level is what you do with that information: connecting the dots, influencing senior stakeholders and helping turn insight into action.

This could suit an experienced FP&A or Commercial Finance professional who has already built strong technical foundations and is now looking for a role where they can have greater commercial ownership and influence.

Your Impact:

  • Be a trusted Finance Business Partner to our iGaming leadership, building a deep understanding of the business and using financial insight to challenge, influence and support commercial decision-making.
  • Turn performance into action, analysing the P&L as well as operational and commercial KPIs to identify the underlying drivers of performance and recommend what the business should do next.
  • Shape investment and commercial decisions, building financial models, business cases and scenario analysis to assess opportunities, trade-offs, risks and returns and help determine where we should invest our resources.
  • Own and continuously improve forecasting and planning, bringing together financial, operational and commercial assumptions to create robust forecasts while constructively challenging the assumptions behind them.
  • Proactively identify opportunities and risks, using data and your understanding of the business to surface issues early, investigate their root causes and drive conversations around potential actions.
  • Influence through insight, presenting clear recommendations to senior finance and non-finance stakeholders and being comfortable constructively challenging established thinking when the data points to a different conclusion.
  • Drive better decision-making across the Gaming business, partnering with Product, Commercial, Marketing and Data teams to connect financial performance with the operational decisions behind it.
  • Raise the standard of FP&A, identifying opportunities to improve our models, reporting, processes and use of data so Finance can spend less time producing information and more time influencing decisions.

What You'll Bring:

  • A fully qualified accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) alongside strong FP&A or Commercial Finance experience.
  • Demonstrable experience operating as a Finance Business Partner, working with senior non-finance stakeholders and influencing commercial decisions.
  • Strong commercial judgement and the ability to move beyond explaining the numbers to developing a clear point of view and recommending a course of action.
  • Examples of where your analysis has directly influenced a decision, investment, change in direction or improvement in business performance.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and scenario-planning capability, with advanced Excel skills and the confidence to build and interrogate models independently.
  • Strong understanding of P&L and EBITDA performance and the ability to connect financial outcomes with operational and commercial drivers.
  • The confidence to constructively challenge senior stakeholders, test assumptions and ask difficult questions while building strong, trusted relationships.
  • A proactive and curious approach, you don’t wait to be asked for analysis when you can see an opportunity, risk or question worth investigating.
  • The ability to take complex financial and operational information and communicate the key message and recommendation clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, commercially complex environment; experience within iGaming, gaming, digital media, technology or another data-rich consumer business would be advantageous.

The Interview Process:

  1. Initial conversation with a Talent Partner (30 minutes via Zoom)
  2. Interview with the Principal FPA& Lead and People Experience Partner (60 minutes via Zoom)
  3. Take-home case study
  4. Final interview with the Senior FP&A leadership team (60 minutes via Zoom)
