Job Description
You will lead Tipico’s efforts in implementing our regulatory strategy for digital services (games and sportsbook) at federal level.
This role is crucial in establishing a strong relationship with regulatory authorities, specifically the GGL, and ensuring Tipico operates as a fully regulated entity. You’ll work closely with product and business functions to enhance our compliance framework, helping us to stay at the forefront of industry standards.
Your playing field:
- Regulatory Strategy Execution. You contribute to the definition of the regulatory strategy and break it down into actionable steps for compliance.
- Framework Development. Set up and continuously improve our regulatory execution framework to support smooth business processes.
- Business Guidance. Provide clear regulatory guidance for decision-making across all digital product verticals.
- Licensing Oversight. Secure and renew gaming licenses in Germany to ensure seamless operations.
- Stakeholder Management. Serve as the bridge between internal stakeholders, including the leadership team, product managers, and shareholders, to align on compliance priorities.
- Cultural Ambassador. Promote a regulatory-compliant culture, positioning Tipico as a responsible operator.
- Team Leadership. Lead and develop a team of compliance professionals, guiding them in compliance best practices.
Qualifications
Which skills you should bring to the pitch:
- Qualifications. Master’s degree in law, economics or similar with first professional qualification in compliance or corporate risk management.
- Experience. Minimum of 5 years in regulatory or compliance management, ideally in the gaming industry.
- Fluency in German and English. As a leading sports betting provider in the German-speaking market, a native level of written and spoken German is a prerequisite for this position. English is the official language in our Malta office, therefore fluent English language skills are essential.
- Stakeholder. You excel in building and managing collaborations with a large network of stakeholders.
- Analytical. You have a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with an eye for the details.
