As UL Solutions expands its global footprint, we are looking for an EMEA Internal Communications Lead to drive engagement among the region's 3,000 employees. This role is crucial in localising internal communications initiatives, campaigns, and programs that foster connection and alignment with our global strategy. The ideal candidate will be a strategic and dynamic communicator with 5+ years of experience in internal communications, skilled in storytelling, executive messaging, and employee engagement. This role operates under a hybrid work structure, with a mix of remote and on-site work at our Basingstoke office.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic and dynamic communicator with 5+ years of experience in internal communications, skilled in storytelling, executive messaging, and employee engagement. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a strategic advisor, providing guidance on employee-related issues in business planning.
- Develop and execute a strategic EMEA internal communications plan, ensuring alignment with global strategy.
- Activate regional communications, delivering global initiatives and localised content tailored to EMEA employees.
- Partner with the EMEA Region Lead and senior executives to cascade strategic priorities and strengthen company culture.
- Support high-impact internal events, including CEO/ELT visits and global employee engagements.
- Create and distribute compelling employee-focused content across key internal EMEA channels (e.g., ULife, In Focus).
- Collaborate with HR to drive employee engagement initiatives (e.g., values refresh, EVP, census, inclusion forums, awards).
- Work closely with Business Communications on internal messaging (e.g., town halls, talking points, thought leadership)
- Partner with the External Communications team to support EMEA PR/media needs, including press releases, agency coordination, social media, and ULS.com.
- Amplify internal communications via social media, working with External Communications to promote content (e.g., LinkedIn, etc.).
- Drive employee engagement through creative campaigns and storytelling techniques. Localise messaging to ensure cultural and regional relevance.
- Build strong relationships across EMEA, uncovering and sharing compelling employee stories.
- Foster collaboration through clear communication and cross-functional engagement.
- Oversee channel management, continuously innovating internal communication platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in internal communications, with a background in business, marketing, or communications.
- Proven success in creating and executing employee content campaigns, backed by metrics. Solid business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Proficient in English with German highly preferred. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong storyteller with expertise in writing, editing, and executive communications (AP Style proficiency).
- A collaborative leader, skilled in project management, facilitation, budget management and senior stakeholder engagement.
- Comfortable navigating matrix environments with a strategic mindset. Demonstrated consultative and advisory skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical or scientific content for broad audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal communication platforms.
