Job Summary
As a Product Development Specialist / Fund structuring in the J.P. Morgan Mansart Structuring team, you will play a pivotal role in the front-to-end management of fund launches and product development. You will work closely with colleagues across sales, legal, compliance, and portfolio management to deliver bespoke solutions for clients. You will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, developing your expertise in multi-asset strategies and regulated fund formats. Your contribution will help drive the continued growth and success of the business.
J.P. Morgan Mansart is a $50bn+ boutique asset management company within the J.P. Morgan group responsible for creating specialised derivative-based fund solutions.
Job Responsibilities
Manage the complete product design, development, and launch process for new funds, ETFs and managed accounts, including drafting fund prospectuses and offering documentation.
Coordinate internal and external approvals with key stakeholders throughout the fund launch lifecycle.
Collaborate with multi-asset sales teams in EMEA and APAC, assessing feasibility, fund pricing and selecting appropriate vehicles in line with client requirements and regulations.
Lead technical project management activities, such as establishing new fund platforms and engaging with service providers including management companies, depositaries, administrators, and auditors.
Oversee changes to existing funds, including restructuring, mergers, and terminations.
Stay informed of industry developments and regulatory changes relevant to fund structuring and documentation.
Incorporate ESG considerations and related European regulations into product development where applicable.
Foster strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project delivery.
Demonstrate attention to detail and foresight in anticipating client needs and regulatory requirements.
Support the ongoing growth and enhancement of the Mansart platform and fund offerings.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification. In-depth knowledge of the European funds industry and regulatory environment, including UCITs, AIFMD, MIFID, and Consumer Duty.
Familiarity with ESG integration and related European regulations such as SFDR, taxonomy, and UK SDR.
Experience in a product development role focused on structuring funds in Ireland, Luxembourg, or other relevant jurisdictions.
Understanding of derivatives and their application within fund structures.
Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working across teams.
Proven ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Previous experience working at an asset manager or an investment bank is beneficial although not essential.
Experience with synthetic / derivative based fund structures and/or ETFs would be an advantage.
Multilingual proficiency is a plus, but not a requirement.
This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
