The Junior Data Engineer will work on developing and managing data solutions, participate in client engagements, and improve data quality through analysis.
We are currently looking for a passionate and motivated Data Engineers to join our team of IT professionals on behalf of our clients in different industries within the Greek market. The candidate will play a key role in the development, implementation, and management of technology-based solutions to improve our clients' data ecosystem and overall delivery.
Responsibilities
- Participation in large-scale client engagements.
- Contribution in the delivery of innovative and engaging data engineering solutions.
- Understanding of business and technical requirements, provision of subject matter expertise and implementation of data engineering techniques.
- Conducting of data discovery activities, performing root cause analysis, and making recommendations for the remediation of data quality issues.
- Putting into practice good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (mandatory)
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience on software development using MS SQL Server, ETL tools (e.g. MS SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator etc.) or Azure Data Services (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL database)
- Experience on Airflow & Python capabilities will be considered as a plus
- Understanting of software applications' fundamental principles, communication methods, and their impact on users' experience
- Very Good testing & Quality Assurance Skills
- Good programming skills with a mindset of solving hard problems efficiently with creativity
- Communication & Time Management Skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a group
- Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving Attitude
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Languages required: English and Greek, both written and verbal
