Team Purpose
Our regional data teams focus on the updates of data into our databases and efficient delivery of products. This will require a critical focus on quality and regional or domain expertise. A core element of this role will be on the definition of data sources, workflows and processes, and supporting the automation or evolution of these data pipelines.
Role Purpose
- To effectively manage and develop a team of data analysts that will ensure the delivery of high-quality datasets across the Lens related products for Upstream and Subsurface
- To ensure the update and management of core datasets and products in an efficient manner
- To ensure a consistently high level of quality in the data team
- To drive business efficiencies through effective and appropriate allocation of work based on skill requirement and commercial priority. Supporting automation of workflows
- To recruit, develop and retain the right people that will contribute to delivering the commercial success of our business
- Ensure a culture of excellence in the upheld in the data team
Key Responsibilities
- Leads, evaluates, and develops a team of professionals to support the delivery and development of the Lens product
- Foster an agile, high-performance, collaborative culture which is creative, open, supportive and dynamic with continuous improvement mind-set.
- Working with the regional data SMEs to identify and support priority data improvement projects
- Ensure core metrics are utilised across the team to evaluate data quality and efficiency of operations
- Evolve relationships with your research counterparts to ensure that there is an effective way of working, and continuous level of interaction and knowledge sharing
- Actively prioritise and support the automation of processes through collaboration with the data automation team
- Ensure the delivery of a defined data roadmap, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data to meet our client needs
- Ensure the development of the team is focused on skills and competencies appropriate for transitioning the way we work
- Is an effective coach within area of specialism, supporting an open culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration and idea generation
