The Role 

As a Marketing Executive Apprentice, you join the Marketing Operations Team who work closely with each other to deliver the Marketing strategy to our customers, financial advisers and their clients.

You will be working across the Marketing centres of excellence supporting Strategy, insights, Digital experience and Operations developing a wide set of skills to help understand how Marketing supports and drives M&G’s proposition. In the role you’ll work closely with key stakeholders and agencies to understand the fundamental of Marketing and how we deliver for our customers and advisers

What will you be doing? 

As a Marketing Executive Apprentice, your daily duties will include:

  • Support the delivery of great customer digital experience through understanding how a customer wants to interact with M&G

  • Understand and develop the Marketing process in a regulated environment and shaping those processes to maximise efficiency and use experience.

  • Support and develop research and insight plans that help us understand our customer and adviser needs and Market trends

  • Support the development & delivery of the Marketing and Insight Plan in line with the overall strategy and objectives of the business

  • Support other internal marketing projects as required

What will I need to be successful in this role? 

  • Prior Marketing experience gained in financial services marketing is preferred but not essential

  • You must demonstrate the ability to adapt, learn quickly and pick up new skills

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of digital channels

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Good investment and pension knowledge across funds and products would be helpful, but not essential

  • Excellent project management skills, specifically the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

Minimum Requirements 

  • Available to start the apprenticeship programme in September 2026 

  • You must not be enrolled into another further education programme at the beginning of the programme  

  • Be a UK citizen or have proof of your right to work in the UK  

  • Living in Scotland

  • Pass in Five National 5s including English

  • Minimum of Grade C in Two Highers or equivalent  

Training Provided 

As a Marketing Executive Apprentice with M&G, you will undertake the Extended Foundation Certificate in Professional and Digital Marketing Level 3. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses 

Future Prospects 

This is a fixed term contract for 18 - 23 months upon which the business may decide to retain, subject to the Apprentice performance, headcount, and available funding. If recruited into a permanent role, the individual will follow the career progression applicable to the specific role/department. 

Salary 

£24,400 per annum plus benefits
