As a Principal Electronics Systems Engineer - New Product Development, you define electronic system strategies, make high impact architectural decisions, and influence multiple product programs. Your remit extends beyond individual projects to shaping platforms, standards, and technical direction that enable sustained product innovation and delivery at scale.
You are accountable for system level outcomes, comfortable making complex trade offs, and trusted to guide teams through ambiguity toward clear, executable solutions. This role has significant influence across Engineering, Product Development, Quality, and Manufacturing.
What You'll Be Doing
Owning and defining system architectures for complex consumer products across electronics, embedded software, and integrated electromechanical systems
Setting technical direction for multiple new product programs, ensuring alignment with platform strategies, cost targets, and manufacturability goals
Leading concept to development readiness activities, de-risking technologies and architectures before formal program commitment
Making and defending critical system level trade offs across performance, cost, reliability, compliance, and schedule
Establishing clear system requirements, interface definitions, and functional architectures across multidisciplinary teams
Driving development of reusable electrical and embedded platforms to improve speed, quality, and consistency across product portfolios
Providing technical leadership during system integration, EMC, safety, DVT, and regulatory compliance activities
Partnering with Product Management and Engineering leadership to support roadmaps, investment decisions, and long term technology strategy
Reviewing, challenging, and approving designs through formal design reviews, raising the technical bar across teams
Mentoring senior and mid-level engineers, acting as a reference point for complex technical issues
Communicating complex system concepts clearly to technical and non technical stakeholders
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline
10+ years of experience delivering complex consumer electronics products, with demonstrated system-level ownership
Proven track record of defining and shipping electronic system architectures used across multiple products or platforms
Deep systems integration expertise across electrical, embedded, and mechanical domains
Advanced analogue and digital circuit design capability, including signal integrity, filtering, and mixed-signal systems
Strong hands on experience with power electronics (AC/DC, flyback, buck/boost) and regulatory considerations
Embedded systems expertise including MCU selection, memory architectures, and hardware/software partitioning
Experience integrating sensor systems and wireless connectivity (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi) into production products
Ability to evaluate new technologies with a pragmatic focus on reliability, supply chain, and scalability
Experience influencing without direct authority across teams and functions
A strategic mindset combined with a bias for execution and technical excellence
