Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic Product Owner to be an integral part of a new team to enhance the Market Modelling capability in our Lens Platform.

Knowledge & experience

  • Existing Product Owner looking to expand their role with a focus on data modelling
  • Understanding of the product development process including agile software development, design process, and instrumenting analytics
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Understand constraints from a range of sources including technical, design, user, cost/value and regulatory
  • Understand the product development and engineering process from requirement definition through to validation
  • Basic knowledge on the sector the product serves, understanding of the major players, market conditions, and industry standards
  • An understanding of Scrum Agile, LEAN and iterative software development 
  • Experienced collaborator across diverse customers (Research, Data, UX, Engineering) to achieve customer-focused results
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • An interest in making a difference to the way we power the planet
  • Experience with JIRA and Productboard

Impact on the team

  • Foster healthy culture, support and direction for a distributed team
  • Provide guidance, direction by defining user requirements with clear acceptance criteria across multiple features
  • Work with tech lead to identify solutions that work within a set of defined constraints
  • Work with the engineering manager to identify improved ways of working to support the team
  • Represent the team while working with senior product management, sales, and marketing to prioritise product value and benefits
  • Assist in documentation and testing of given solutions to ensure fit for customers
  • Ability to qualify and validate completed functionality to ensure fit for customers
  • Ensure team has a broader understanding of their impact on the wider Lens platform
  • Participate in daily scrums with engineering teams

    

Stakeholder & client relationships

  • Present relevant information to development and design teams to secure buy in and clarify problem statement
  • Translate requirements from customers and defining the product functionality according to wider customer needs
  • Inform senior stakeholders on progress and raise risks to the appropriate level
  • Gather feedback from relevant customers and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the other Scrum teams working on Lens
