Mission for the Role:
Your mission is to identify the biggest problems that banks are facing with making their transactional data impactful, for them and/or their end users. Once you understand this, you will use it to direct product strategy and the roadmap required to solve them. Whilst doing so, you’ll be ready to champion your product into the marketplace, launching new features and products and ensuring we have a client base that will advocate for us..

- Work with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to drive product adoption and market positioning.

- Work together to define appetite, establish boundaries, and create focused pitch documents that enable autonomous execution.
- Monitor key product metrics and iterate based on user feedback and business objectives.
You are a product leader who is relentlessly curious and deeply empathetic. You ask "why" five times to get to the root of a customer problem, and you're driven to understand the market, the technology, and the business goals. You can distil complex client needs into clear, actionable outcomes for engineering and articulate product value to sales and marketing.
You are a collaborative leader who can inspire cross-functional teams without direct authority. You see yourself as a partner to engineering and an advocate for the customer, and you're motivated by the mission to build something that solves a real problem and delivers meaningful value. You are process-driven but adaptable, able to define a clear path for discovery and delivery while remaining flexible enough to adapt to new information or changing priorities.
What we are Looking for (Essential):
- Genuine curiosity and empathy for customers, you get to the heart of problems by asking “why” and can frame solutions from the client’s perspective.
- Experience in fintech, banking or lending.
- A strong product mindset confident running discovery, shaping ideas, and delivering outcomes that drive real business value.
- A collaborative leader able to bring people with you across engineering, sales, and customer success, without needing direct authority.
- Clear communication able to translate complex needs into actionable work for engineering and compelling stories for sales and marketing.
- Ownership and accountability – you take responsibility for adoption, outcomes, and learnings, rather than shifting blame.
- Adaptability, structured and process-minded, but comfortable flexing as new insights or priorities emerge.
- A track record of delivery from shaping ideas through to launch, with evidence of learning from product metrics.
- Motivation by value driven by building products that solve real problems and deliver meaningful impact.

- Exposure to different company sizes – we value both scaling startup experience and lessons learned in bigger organisations. However experience in a smaller size scaling business would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with frameworks like Shape-Up (but mindset and adaptability matter more than methodology).
- Industry network and client relationships that can accelerate traction.
- Experience creating sales collateral or demo scripts (can be developed in role).
