We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Applications, to lead our application team in supporting, maintaining, and optimizing our GTM ecosystem. This role requires someone with deep Salesforce expertise who can engage with architects, ask insightful questions, and ensure that solutions align with business needs and best practices. You will report to the Senior Director of Business Technology and oversee a team of architects, developers, and QA professionals.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with business and technology leaders to ensure our Salesforce platform and related GTM applications align with organizational needs. Your leadership and problem-solving skills will be essential in enhancing system efficiency, security, and scalability.

What You'll Do:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce architects, developers, and QA engineers

  • Establish team goals, provide coaching, and ensure continuous professional development

  • Oversee team performance, resource allocation, and system delivery timelines

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration

Salesforce Strategy & Execution

  • Own the administration, development, and optimization of Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.)

  • Engage with architects to review technical decisions, ensuring alignment with business and scalability goals

  • Ensure high standards of data integrity, security, and compliance within Salesforce

  • Drive improvements and automation to enhance business processes and system performance

  • Evaluate and implement new Salesforce features, integrations, and best practice

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with GTM Product Management to align Salesforce and GTM application capabilities with the product roadmap

  • Work closely with Enterprise Architects to assess system design and drive continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure successful sprint planning and system enhancements

Operational Excellence

  • Manage system upgrades, configurations, and integrations with third-party applications

  • Develop and monitor performance metrics to assess system health and adoption

  • Maintain documentation and enforce governance policies for Salesforce administration and development

Who You Are:

  • 15+ years of experience leading technical teams, preferably in enterprise IT.

  • 5+ years managing a Salesforce development team supporting Sales Cloud or Service Cloud

  • Proven ability to work closely with architects, providing input on technical solutions.

  • Experience managing Salesforce Apex development teams and ensuring quality code delivery

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues

  • Effective communicator with experience presenting technical solutions to executives

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Software Engineering, or a related field

  • Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Certified Architect, Developer, or Administrator)

  • Strong project management skills with experience delivering solutions on time and within budget

  • Experience leading a team in executing within a Scrum framework

  • Experience with large Salesforce orgs (750+ users)

  • Knowledge of version control, CI/CD, and ALM processes

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Marketo or other marketing platforms  

  • Experience with Salesforce Community and Knowledge 

  • com Certified Architect 

  • com Certified Developer, Apex 

  • Certified ScrumMaster 

  • This is a Hybrid Role, Minimum onsite 2-3 days per week

(Pay Transparency Range: $135,000.00 - $228,000.00)

The exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s location, relevant knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
