Job Description
This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract within our Universal Destinations & Experiences business.
This role oversees the delivery of effective and innovative multi-channel B2C and Trade to consumer marketing campaigns featuring Universal's North American theme parks and resorts. With an emphasis on planning, project and process management, responsibilities include overseeing B2C and B2B2C Trade Partner marketing plans for Universal Destinations and Experiences in collaboration with internal and external teams, and the EMEA Senior Leadership Team.
Work closely with Senior Leadership team to agree Marketing Strategy, KPI's and Budget for all Paid Media campaigns and Sign-off on all Client Annual plans. Ensure brand, business and IP integrity and process adherence.
Ensure 2 x Marketing Managers work through the project lifecycle, including scoping projects and timelines, managing budgets, and delivering impactful creative and brand representation within agreed working practices.
Build and nurture marketing relationships with peers to allow for the development of efficient Marketing plans that deliver upon business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
Campaign Strategy and Planning and Prioritisation:
- Collaborate with the Senior Leadership team to build the Marketing strategy for Paid media campaigns, identify pertinent trends, key booking periods, objectives, target audience and messaging priorities for each initiative
- Proactively engage in the annual planning cycle with trade partners and sales team to develop and agree Client annual plans to include a relevant range of trade and trade to consumer activities
- Oversee all campaign delivery to plan, working closely with the 2 Marketing Managers, to ensure delivery of exciting and engaging campaigns, which includes reviewing Media and Creative briefs and provide final sign off on all Creative assets
- Support the team on post campaign analysis and creative content review
- Oversee the delivery of all marketing initiatives with trade partners in line with agreed sales and business priorities
- Responsible for the overall timely delivery of all UOR and USH B2C and B2B2C Marketing campaigns.
In Market Media:
- Participates in Annual Media Review and provides marketer POV on in-market media recommendations based on learning's from past campaigns
- Maintains broad knowledge of media landscape
- Own the day-to-day UK media agency relationship & maintain effective communication to ensure all parties are aligned on business priorities and performance
- Explore innovative channels and formats to enhance storytelling, ensuring alignment with commercial goals
Relationship Management:
- Manage day-to-day relationships with US Stakeholders (including brand, legal, trade and IP teams), Trade partners, UK Media agency relationship and Internal/external Creative agencies
- Conduct quarterly reviews with external agencies to ensure efficient and effective working practices
- Actively engage and represent the UK team in weekly meetings. Ensure close relationships with US Media Team, Internal Trade Network teams and International Business Meetings
- Take the lead on the EMEA Trade Network and act as a core liaison between the London and US based teams
- Engage with Senior Leadership team in the UK and US to present Marketing Plans, bring them on the journey and provide context in order to achieve desired outcome
Team Management:
- Encourage recruitment, advocacy, and achievement of a diverse work team
- Provides mentorship, motivation and career development opportunities for 2 direct reports
- Effectively manage, coach and support team on all deliverables, be their sounding board during 1-1's and provide regular feedback
- Alongside SLT, ensure rollout and monitoring of core TSAT programs
- Showcase leadership skills - be trustworthy, be stable, show compassion and be positive
Qualifications
Previous experience:
- Demonstrable experience of leading, motivating and managing a team
- Previous experience of Project and Process Management
- Previous experience of working with Licensed Partner property
- Previous experience of B2C and B2B2C campaign delivery, management and post campaign reporting
- Strong creative acumen and attention to detail
- Proven team player with the ability to build effective relationships quickly with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrable experience of problem solving and decision making
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet deadlines
- Ability to analyse, contextualise and present campaign performance to wider team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems
- Previous experience working within the Travel/Entertainment industry and media planning and buying would be an advantage
