At SP Energy Networks, we keep electricity flowing to homes and businesses through our vast network of overhead lines and underground cables. We’re investing in our network to support the transition to net zero, and we’re looking for talented people to help us deliver a smarter, more resilient energy system.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to lead the development and delivery of structured inspection programmes for our Low Voltage (LV) assets across the SPM Licence Area. This includes a focus on Service Terminations, Rising Lateral Mains (RLM), and Link Boxes. You’ll play a key role in ensuring asset condition, safety, and compliance are proactively assessed and maintained through a systematic inspection regime.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of LV Inspection Programmes across the SPM Licence Area.
- Ensure all works comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a zero-accident culture.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, addressing risks and variances proactively.
- Engage with internal teams, field operations, contractors, and customers to ensure successful programme delivery.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior leadership, regulatory bodies, and commercial partners.
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery functions.
- Ensure all KPIs and SLA targets are achieved across the programmes of work.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience managing infrastructure or utility-based projects, ideally within the power distribution or energy sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of LV networks and assets, including Service Terminations, RLMs, and Link Boxes.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programmes of work within a regulated environment.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, APM PMQ, or PMP are desirable.
What’s in it for you
You’ll be joining a team that’s at the forefront of delivering a safe, reliable, and resilient electricity network. In return, we offer a competitive salary, a generous benefits package, and opportunities for professional development and career progression.
As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
