Role Overview:
As a Senior Wealth Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the bank’s wealth operations, including the maintenance of the financial instrument universe and the corporate actions department. You will ensure operational accuracy, compliance with regulatory standards, and smooth execution of wealth related activities across all platforms. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and an understanding of financial instruments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Instrument Universe Management: Maintain and oversee the bank’s instrument universe to ensure it remains aligned with the bank’s compliance guidelines
- Corporate Actions Oversight: Manage the processing and reporting of all corporate actions (e.g. dividends, mergers, stock splits), ensuring accurate and timely execution in coordination with custodians and counterparties
- Documentation Control: Ensure all product related documentation, such as Key Information Documents (KIDs), prospectuses, and fact sheets, are up-to-date and accessible
- Operational Oversight: Supervise the end-to-end operational processes linked to the wealth value chain, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
- Control Frameworks: Implement and monitor effective operational controls to mitigate risks and uphold service quality
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Product, and Technology teams to support the launch of new financial instruments and operational improvements
- Team Management: Lead and support team members through coaching, performance management, training, and professional development
- Internal Client Support: Act as an escalation point for complex wealth-related client issues or queries, providing internally expert support and guidance
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for automation and innovation in processes related to wealth operations, including trade settlement and data enrichment
- Reporting: Provide regular updates and reporting to the Head of Operations, highlighting KPIs, incidents, and risk indicators
Required knowledge, skills and experience:
- Experience in wealth operations or securities operations, ideally within banking, brokerage, or asset management
- Strong understanding of financial instruments (equities, ETFs, bonds, and Mutual Funds.); familiarity with corporate actions is a strong asset
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Meticulous attention to detail and a structured, analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Experience working with financial systems, custodians, and market infrastructures
- A proactive, solution-oriented attitude with a passion for operational excellence
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II, EMIR, and SFDR is considered a plus
