Sponsorship Sales Manager - Reuters Events (Energy)
This position will be based in London with hybrid working available.

Reuters Events are looking for a Sales Manager with experience of selling conference and events sponsorship packages to lead and manage a team of sponsorship sales executives within our energy sector portfolio.
Reuters Events deliver world-class conferences and content-driven events across the globe. We work with industry leaders and visionaries to provide the critical insights and connections that senior executives need to navigate change and great make strategic decisions.
As Sales Manager for Reuters Events' Energy portfolio, you'll cover the full spectrum of the industry, overseeing event sponsorship sales on events in the oil and gas, renewables, utilities, and energy technology industries. Reuters Events combines a respected brand with editorial excellence to produce B2B events that have a real impact on our global audiences.
About the Role
As Sales Manager at Reuters Events, you will:

Drive Sales and Partnerships: Develop and manage relationships with senior executives across the energy sector, offering tailored sponsorship packages and partnership opportunities.

Lead and Motivate a Sales Team: Manage a team of business development executives, setting clear targets, providing coaching, and supporting them to achieve sales goals.

Identify New Business Opportunities: Stay ahead of market trends, understand customer needs, and keep an eye on competitors to find new sales opportunities.

Build Strong Client Relationships: Work closely with VPs of Marketing, Corporate Comms and senior decision-makers, establishing long-term, trusted partnerships.

Collaborate with Internal Teams: Partner with event production, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure client satisfaction and successful event delivery.

Stay Informed: Maintain a solid understanding of the energy industry, sharing relevant insights with clients and your sales team.

Manage Reporting and Forecasting: Take ownership of your sales pipeline, provide accurate revenue forecasts, and keep senior management updated on your progress.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Sales Manager at Reuters Events if you have:

Proven sales leadership experience. We're looking for a manager with a track record of success in sales, with experience managing sales teams at events companies.

An interest in building partnerships within the energy market (including both traditional and renewable energy sectors), along with a network of relevant industry contacts. If you have experience of selling sponsorship packages to the energy industry, we'd love to hear more about this on your application.

Demonstrable ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets.

Excellent Communication Skills. We're looking for someone that's comfortable presenting both in person and on calls, with the ability to build rapport quickly.

Experience of strategically negotiation and closing deals, with a consultative approach to sales.

The ability to inspire and develop a team of business development executives, fostering a culture of success and collaboration and by leading by example.

The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team, able to balance individual responsibilities with supporting your team and contributing to broader company goals.
