This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced Ecosystem and Enablement Team within Renesas Electronics tasked with scouting key technologies and developing strategic partnerships around IoT to enable both organic & inorganic growth. Being the global leader in MCUs it is critical that the ecosystem complements and expands the depth and breadth of the Renesas portfolio.  

Job Description

What we need:

The Ecosystem and Enablement team is seeking a Staff Engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and has both strong business and technical acumen. You will drive and manage a team for establishing a brand-new Developer Platform for Mass-Market users including but not limited to working across a broad range of teams to define the concept, set objectives with milestones, manage the development, review and launch.

What You’ll do

  • Drive activities as a system architect to establish a brand-new developer platform for mass-market users to simplify the development journey on Renesas MCU and MPU platforms
  • Define and design the concept and technical requirements to meet mass-market users’ needs and improve competitiveness against competitors
  • Manage the development by internal and/or external development teams
  • Consult with internal and external stakeholders for technical reviews of the platform
  • Develop and review technical documentation
  • Work closely with regional marketing teams to align on regional requirements
  • Execution of defined Life-Time-Management and maintenance process

Qualifications

Skills You’ll Need

  • BSEE or equivalent with 5-7 years of embedded systems and semiconductor marketing experience
  • Basic understanding of key IoT technologies like cloud, machine learning, security, human-machine-interfacing, and wireless connectivity
  • Knowledge of MCUs and/or MPUs and development tools technologies
  • Prior experience on mass-market developer platform highly preferred
  • Prior experience managing programs in a cross-functional environment
  • Prior experience of leading projects by decision making with logical mind-set
  • Good communication skills: presentation creation/delivery, public speaking, and written
  • Strong drive with ability to take ownership to accomplish objectives
  • Skill of task management aligning with team’s priorities
  • High willingness to challenge new initiatives
  • Ability to influence and convince internally and externally
  • A complete team player with a winning mindset
  • Communication skills with global broad team members internally and externally
  • Listen to stakeholders’ thoughts deeply
  • Prioritize regional BizDev teams’ opinions to accelerate business development
  • Fair decision making for global broad market
  • Skills to review legal contracts for partner engagements and projects for solution development
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel
