CoreWeave is seeking a Sustainability Senior Associate to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our environmental management and reporting frameworks across the UK and EU, as well as other global locations where the company operates. This role will focus on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting—particularly Scope 3 value chain emissions—voluntary and statutory sustainability reporting, ISO 14001 alignment, and environmental risk assessments across the data centre lifecycle.

The successful candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders. This is an opportunity to help shape the environmental strategy of a rapidly scaling AI business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • GHG Accounting:
    • Help maintain CoreWeave’s GHG inventory management system across all regions of operation. Conduct emissions assessments in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and relevant sector frameworks.
    • Manage data collection processes, validate activity data, and ensure a consistent and auditable methodology across global locations.
  • Sustainability Strategy & Reporting
    • Contribute to voluntary and mandatory sustainability reporting activities, such as UK SECR, and applicable frameworks.
    • Help prepare accurate, clear, and audit-ready disclosures aligned with CoreWeave’s reporting calendar. Support external assurance processes, where applicable.
    • Support the development and tracking of environmental and sustainability KPIs, including data centre environmental performance metrics.
    • Conduct benchmarking and horizon scanning to identify emerging sustainability and environmental trends relevant to the business.
    • Track and help impact assess UK and EU government energy and net zero policy development.
  • Environmental Management:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect and validate environmental data for ISO 14001 compliance.
    • Support the rollout and continuous improvement of an Environmental Management System (EMS), maintaining documentation, procedures, and records in line with ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Climate Risk Assessment:
    • Contribute to transition and physical climate-risk assessments. Support biodiversity and ecological impact assessments for development projects, ensuring alignment with emerging regulatory expectations and best practices.
  • Comms and stakeholder engagement:
    • Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership in a concise and accessible manner.
    • Support internal training and awareness-building related to environmental compliance and sustainability best practices.
Who You Are:
  • Demonstrated experience with GHG accounting, including Scope 3 emissions, using recognised frameworks (e.g., GHG Protocol).
  • Experience supporting sustainability or environmental reporting in line with regional requirements (e.g., SECR, ESRS/CSRD) or comparable frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001 principles and requirements, and experience working within or supporting an Environmental Management System.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large, varied datasets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex environmental information clearly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related discipline preferable.
Preferred:
  • Experience in data centre, technology infrastructure, or industrial sectors with complex value chains.
  • Working knowledge of climate-risk assessment frameworks (e.g., TCFD).
  • Competency in carbon accounting software (e.g. Workiva) and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
Competencies:
  • Analytical problem solving and structured thinking.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to improve systems and processes.
Additional Information:
  • Occasional travel to CoreWeave sites in the UK, EU, and other regions may be required.
