What you will do

  • Work with stakeholders from the Tax Authorities, to capture, analyze and validate business requirements for the delivery of an innovative taxation system;
  • Map existing (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) taxation processes;
  • Document complex tax workflows using BPMN, UML, or equivalent modeling notations;
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure business requirements translate smoothly into system specifications;
  • Support the design of modules such as Taxpayer Registration, Assessment, Returns, Payments, Debt Management, Audit & Compliance, and Reporting;
  • Perform gap analyses, data mapping and end-to-end process reviews;
  • Participate in workshops, presentations and validation sessions with EU and national-level stakeholders;
  • Contribute to quality assurance activities (test scenarios, acceptance testing support, traceability management).

Requirements
  • University degree in IT or equivalent,
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant or IT Consultant;
  • Proven involvement in Taxation Systems, Revenue Services, eGovernment, Public Administration IT or related domains;
  • Strong knowledge of BPMN 2.0, with hands-on experience using tools such as Camunda Modeler or equivalent;
  • Understanding of tax administration processes (registration, filing, payments, audits, enforcement, etc.);
  • Excellent documentation, communication and workshop facilitation skills;
  • Fluent in English (additional EU languages are a plus).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with enterprise architecture or modeling tools (ArchiMate, UML, etc.);
  • Experience working within EU regulatory frameworks or government projects in Europe;
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies;
  • Exposure to interoperability frameworks, API-driven architectures, or integration with external government systems;
  • Background in data analysis or reporting within public financial systems.
