About the Role:
CrowdStrike is looking for highly motivated technical cloud security consultants dedicated to protecting organizations against advanced adversaries in the world. The Senior Cloud Security Consultant would be responsible for identifying and assessing technical risks, while providing meaningful and prioritized recommendations to enhance the security posture of cloud environments.
What You’ll Do:
Perform technical analysis looking for high-risk configurations, attack paths, and architectural flows that may expose cloud resources to cyber threats.
Produce high-quality written and verbal reports, presentations, recommendations, and findings to key stakeholders including technical managers, security leaders, and legal.
Contribute to tool development and methodologies to continuously improve and evolve service offerings.
Lead technical advisory engagements across the DACH market.
What You’ll Need: Successful candidates will have skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Platform Expertise:: An in-depth understanding of one of the following cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and GCP), with a specific emphasis on identity, security, networking, compute, serverless, and storage services.
Logging & Monitoring: A strong understanding of logging and alerting in cloud environments, including log management architecture and best practices.
Configuration Analysis: Hands-on experience reviewing security configurations and identifying potential attack paths in a cloud control plane.
Analytics: An ability to work with large data sets and create queries and dashboards in a SIEM.
Scripting: An ability to write simple automation scripts in one of the following languages: Python (preferred), PowerShell, Golang, or JavaScript.
Communication: Strong ability to communicate analysis findings to clients, including technical and executive audiences, and legal counsel.
Experience/training in the topics below is beneficial but not essential for consideration:
Architecture: Knowledge of cloud architecture and design principles, including security and resiliency considerations.
DevSecOps: Familiarity with modern cloud workloads and deployment models - DevSecOps, CICD pipelines, containers, and related security defenses and pitfalls.
Protocols: An understanding of cloud-native authentication and authorisation,, including identity protocols, such as OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.
Education:
BA or BS / MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Information Security, Information Assurance, Information Security Management, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Policy, or a related field. Applicants without a degree but with relevant work experience and/or training will be considered.
Certifications:
Security certifications in AWS, Azure and GCP or other cloud/SaaS platforms are beneficial but not essential to be considered for the position.
