  • We’ll look to you to manage the design and delivery of the bank of the future by delivering increased customer value and effortless customer experiences through various channels, propositions, products and services
  • You’ll be joining a fast paced and customer focused team that champions Agile methodologies, innovative thinking, and new and creative ways of working
What you'll do

You will lead initiatives that ensure our Retail site is optimised for both traditional search engines and emerging generative AI platforms. This role combines deep technical SEO expertise with forward-thinking strategies for GEO ensuring our content and products remain discoverable in an evolving search landscape.

Your role will also involve:

  • Conducting regular technical site audits to identify and resolve crawl, indexation, and performance issues
  • Monitoring crawl reporting to analyse data, address anomalies, and use server logs to uncover crawl behaviour insights and GEO opportunities
  • Supporting GEO strategy development by collaborating with the team lead to design and implement approaches that enhance discoverability in generative AI search experiences
  • Driving GEO experimentation by identifying opportunities and forming hypotheses for tests that improve AI driven visibility
  • Consulting on releases by partnering with the platform team to ensure technical SEO and GEO best practices are embedded ahead of deployment

Familiarity with leading SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, SemRush, Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools is essential, along with a solid understanding of how core web technologies — including HTML, CSS and JavaScript — influence SEO and GEO performance.

You’ll also have a strong grasp of technical SEO best practices, from redirect management and canonicalisation to crawl budget optimisation and server-side considerations. Experience in log file analysis is highly desirable, enabling you to identify crawling behaviour and uncover opportunities for enhancement. Collaboration is key in this role, so you should feel confident working cross-functionally with product, development and content teams to deliver cohesive, high-impact SEO solutions.

We’ll also be looking for:

  • Knowledge of Adobe, SEO, digital marketing, analytics and experience management
  • A talented communicator who can influence, inspire and engage customers and colleagues
  • The ability to implement strategic direction for future customer experiences
  • A proven ability to adapt to quickly changing environments, learn at pace, and encourage others to do the same
