Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic senior marketing executive/marketing manager for a maternity cover position. This role requires a proactive and hands-on marketer to lead and execute impactful marketing campaigns which support client retention, drive business growth, and enhance our brand presence. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and other members of the marketing and sales enablement teams to define and deliver successful marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Strategy:
• Collaborate with the Corporate Consulting Leadership team, Marketing and senior stakeholders to contribute to and shape our marketing strategy aligned to client retention, acquisition and growth objectives.
• Develop and deliver all tactical aspects of our campaigns targeting specific market segments to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Campaign and Content Development:
• Plan, develop and execute marketing campaigns, managing assets, content, and third-party suppliers where necessary.
• Measure campaign success using KPIs and analytics tools, ensuring continuous performance improvement.
• Partner with the Sales Enablement Manager to develop engaging content strategies that support business goals.
• Drive the creation of compelling marketing materials, including case studies, testimonials, and award entries, to amplify the ‘Voice of the Client’ initiative.
Vertical Market Growth:
• Work with key verticals/target markets (including the legal sector and Scotland) to identify growth opportunities and tailor marketing plans that drive success in these markets.
• Develop sector-specific campaigns that address unique challenges and opportunities within the legal industry and other priority verticals.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders - including across Howden Group - in target sectors to enhance market understanding and drive effective engagement.
Innovation, Digital Marketing and Emerging Trends:
• Have a keen interest in latest marketing innovation. Be able to identify and evaluate emerging digital marketing trends, platforms and technologies to enhance campaign reach and effectiveness.
• Use data-driven insights to optimise marketing performance across digital channels, including SEO, PPC, email, and social media.
• Explore new and innovative approaches - such as influencer marketing, AI-driven personalisation, and marketing automation - to drive campaign success.
• Stay ahead of marketing and industry developments to ensure our marketing efforts remain cutting-edge and competitive.
Client Communications and Customer Experience:
• Develop and enhance client communications to ensure consistent, engaging, and value-driven messaging across all touchpoints. Communications should also support cross-sales and growth initiatives amongst existing clients
• Leverage marketing strategies to improve the overall customer experience, aligning communication efforts with client needs and expectations
• Design and implement initiatives that create improved interactions, driving stronger relationships with clients and reinforcing brand loyalty.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that customer feedback is used to inform and refine marketing activities, ensuring a client-centric approach.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Work alongside the Business Development team to plan, execute, and measure lead generation campaigns.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to bring new propositions and services to market effectively.
• Monitor and optimise campaigns based on data and insights from past initiatives. Ensure campaigns are meticulously planned, executed on time, and deliver measurable success.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Experience:
• 3+ years in B2B marketing, with a strong track record in effective marketing communications, campaign planning and content creation.
• Proficiency in marketing automation tools such as HubSpot and Salesforce is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of and experience in marketing to vertical markets, particularly the legal sector, is a distinct advantage.
• Experience in digital marketing, including paid and organic channels, analytics, and emerging digital trends.
Skills:
• Exceptional communication and project management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent copywriting skills with an ability to craft engaging and targeted marketing messages.
• Strategic thinking and analytical capabilities to interpret data and drive decision-making
Knowledge:
• In-depth understanding of B2B marketing trends and practices.
• CIM qualified and/or Marketing based degree
• Knowledge of the health, pensions, and employee benefits market is advantageous but not essential.
Location: Redhill or London (with 2 days WFH)
