Introduction to the Team
The Search Product & Optimization team at Expedia Group sits within the Marketing division and is responsible for the algorithmic intelligence behind our global marketing investments. We operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, participating in millions of auctions daily across Search, Metasearch and Social platforms. Our mission is to build scalable, data-driven systems that optimize how we acquire traffic. We are moving beyond manual operations to develop an autonomous bidding system that dynamically allocates investment to maximize business value.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the bidding product domain end-to-end. Sitting at the intersection of Product, Data Science, Engineering and Marketing Management, you will be the single point of accountability for the strategy, roadmap and delivery of the platforms that decide how, where and how much we bid. You will set the vision for an ecosystem that hosts decision logic and executes using self-correcting automation.
In this role, you will:
Own the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market plan for Expedia Group’s bidding platform across search engine marketing, metasearch, and other performance channels.
Lead the development of an autonomous bidding system, prioritizing capabilities such as target-aware models, control systems, elasticity measurement, and partner connectivity to maximize long-term business value against financial goals.
Define how bidding decisions are made, executed, and monitored by creating transparent, auditable, and scalable product experiences that build stakeholder trust.
Partner closely with scientists, engineers, marketing leaders, and other cross-functional stakeholders to make thoughtful trade-offs across innovation, production stability, and platform health.
Establish the metrics and operating cadences that measure bidding performance, platform reliability, adoption, and operational efficiency, and turn those insights into clear product priorities.
Use systems thinking and clear storytelling to align leaders and partners around complex problem spaces, build feedback loops into releases and migrations, and continuously improve performance at scale.
Experience and Qualifications
You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, a quantitative field, or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
You have 7+ years of product management experience owning technical or platform products end-to-end, from early concept through scaled adoption, including product strategy, roadmap development, and go-to-market planning.
You have an advanced understanding of machine learning and marketing technology, and you can partner credibly with scientists and engineers on optimization, experimentation, elasticity, orchestration, and algorithm-driven decision systems.
You are deeply data-driven and know how to define meaningful metrics, understand their relationships, and translate analysis into clear product decisions and stakeholder alignment.
You are a systems thinker who can work across functions to define complex problem spaces, identify the drivers of desired outcomes, and design ways to measure the impact of change across an interconnected ecosystem.
You are an influential communicator with a strong interest in advertising technology, bidding markets, auctions, automation, and decision systems, and you are energized by ambiguity and turning business goals into solvable product problems.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
